Just a heads up, I put in another order this weekend for a bit of spare
material to rebuild my plane. I bought extra to 1. "reimburse" the stash
for whatever I already used and broke and 2. make shipping costs
worthwhile. In case you break something or wish to do upgrades, here is
what I got (at least 2-3 spare pieces each):
1. 3x2x750mm carbon tube from HK - way cheaper than what's in the
spreadsheet. it's shorter than what Dan bought, but long enough to span the
length of the HTC fuselage and have some left over to "double-reinforce"
the front of the fuse
2. 3x1x750mm carbon strips from HK - also way cheaper
3. 3 Pin JST-XH Balancer Connectors - these are what the 9X AA battery
pack uses, in case you get a lipo/life battery for your 9X and want to mod
it to work with the stock connector
4. BS170 MOSFETs - According to this guide
<http://openrcforums.com/wiki/index.php/9x_Full_Mod_Backlight> this
MOSFET is added to the backlight kit to make the backlight turn on and off
once you flash custom firmware on the radio.
As you might have heard or figured out, I am going open up my 9X to add the
backlight and solder in headers to flash the firmware with an Arduino
(probably while I am waiting for the HK order to arrive). If you want to
join me in the fun, let me know!
