[Crypto-chi] Score one for the good guys

hi everybody,
Well sort of.  For us concerned about our privacy and hence the reason we resort to crypto technologies, the heart and soul of this group, it appears we have a minor victory. From a very suprising source. Microsoft.  I know that a lot of people in this group don't like Micro$oft but in this case they went to bat for user privacy against the US Govt. The US Justice Dept wanted MS to hand over its user data from its servers in Ireland and MS fought back in court. And won. The basic tenet from the US court: US laws can't be used outside the US. Makes sense.   At any rate, here read   and judge for yourself.  
Any thoughts on this matter?
